Here's a quick summary of what happens
on one of my visits and what you can expect from me.
Where areas do I work?
I cover central Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding villages, generally within a 10-mile radius of Tunbridge Wells.
Coming into your home.
Following our initial free chat on the phone, we’ll arrange an appointment for me to come and visit you in your home. Once I arrive, we’ll get straight to work on the areas that are overwhelming you the most.
Do I need to be home when you visit?
Yes, that’s a must. We’ll always work together on our decluttering and organising sessions as each decision regarding your belongings must be made by you. Just think of me as your guide, supporting and encouraging you.
Should I feel embarrassed about the mess?
No, not at all. I’m not here to judge you, just help you and ultimately make you feel amazing about your home and yourself going forward. I know how incredible you are going to feel afterwards.
How long will the decluttering take?
That depends. You may find tackling some areas easier, and some harder. Either way, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you. I want you to feel confident and comfortable in all the decision making.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
After our initial free chat, I’ll have some idea of what we’re going to tackle in order for me to make a plan. If you prefer, I can book a face-to-face consultation.
Is the service confidential?
Absolutely. The relationship with my client, and everything shared within our sessions, will remain completely private. I don’t wear a branded uniform or have branding on my car. However, I may ask for testimonials or before and after photos. I will only share these if clients feel comfortable.
What days and hours do you work?
I work Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am to 2pm. If you would like some extra hours over a weekend for bigger jobs such as packing for a house move, I would be willing to fit in some extra time if my diary allows.
Where do the things we declutter go?
We’ll look to remove as much as possible together. If not promptly removed, we start to doubt our decisions and items are pulled back out of the donation pile and stuffed back into cupboards. I’m happy to take away reasonably sized bags and boxes to charity, and we’ll repurpose where possible.
Do I need to provide anything?
I just need your time and an open mind. I’ll arrive with my own decluttering kit, and lots of positive energy! If you have any empty cardboard boxes, plastic pots, takeaway containers or shoe boxes, that would be fantastic.
Calm Inside is a fully confidential and professional service. I will never share any client information with any third party members without your consent. I will only make requests for testimonials and/or before and after photos to demonstrate to potential clients the benefits of my service. Your prior written approval will be required for this.
I’m here to guide you but it is always your decision whether you take on board the advice I offer you and whether or not you keep or declutter your possessions. I offer no responsibility for your actions and any consequences of these.
Due to health and safety reasons, I cannot move, lift or remove any large items of furniture or heavy items.
My aim is to recycle and repurpose as many items in your property as possible. After our session, I will remove any reasonably sized bags and boxes that will comfortably fit in the boot of my car and take them to a local charity organisation. However, I cannot take your waste away for you.
If access to your property is restricted or unsafe, I reserve the right to charge for the lost time. Other unsafe and potentially hazardous circumstances include exposure to infectious illnesses and pest and rodent infestations. Please discuss with me beforehand.
I do not provide a cleaning service, however, I am happy to undergo a little cleaning such as wiping a shelf or the inside of a cupboard once we have decluttered it.
